Fearless by Max Lucado

Book Review: Fearless
Author: Max Lucado

As always Max Lucado takes the Scriptures and applies practical life experiences that everyone can understand. In his new book Fearless, Pastor Lucado takes on the single greatest emotion that plagues the church, FEAR.

It seems following September 11, 2001 everything changed in the culture and spiritual landscape of America. For the first time in American history a foreign enemy attacked the homeland and forever changed how we live our lives. Fear became the norm, would terrorist attack again? Where would they attack? Are my children safe? On and on the questions grew. Then the economic impact of a banking system gone wild caused a collapse in consumer confidence crushing the global economic growth of the 90’s. Job lose is at an all time high, the stock market collapsed and 401K’s began to shrink. Everywhere you look FEAR is the norm.

In this book titled FEARLESS, Max Lucado views fear through a Biblical lens that will help you overcome your struggle with fear. Each story and thought by Pastor Lucado will pinpoint the root of your fear and how to overcome by understand God’s plan for your life. Ultimately he concludes with the healthy fear of God that produces a dependence on God for our future.

So grab a copy of Fearless and spend an afternoon shedding the load of fear that fills your lives. Paul wrote to the Christ followers of his day about fear, listen to these words that are foundational to Max Lucado’s new book FEARLESS:
Romans 8:15 (NIV)
15 For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship. And by him we cry, "Abba, Father."
