Great day at Fellowship Church

It's 9:20 pm and I just got home from a great day at Fellowship Church.  Let me recap for you some of what made it a great day:

• First and foremost 5 people turned their lives over to Jesus Christ tonight in our membership class.  Not to steal a line, but that never gets old.
• We had 350 + in worship today.  Our crowds continue to grow each week.  The amazing par has been that we have had new people every week!
• Had an All-staff meeting today before the New members class.  I enjoyed sharing some good conversation and planning with our staff.  I am sure our two new staff members  were broke in well.  I can't wait to see all God does, it's exciting!
• Our worship today was incredible!  Great job team...
• Carley knocked it out of the park on Hosanna!
• Enjoyed allowing our church to appreciate Amanda, my admin assistant in honor of Admin Assistant day.
• Enjoyed a good lunch with great friends.

Great day!  I can't wait until next week when we start the Incredible God series.  Remember to be their early or you will miss it!

Crazy Love finale'

Tomorrow we will finish the Crazy Love message series.  I for one have really learned a lot about God's Crazy Love for me.

Let me first thank Francis Chan for his faithful commitment to write the book.  Francis,  I have found myself learning great truths about God over the years from your work.  Early this week I learned that you are stepping out on faith for your future.  I have been there, certainly not on the scale you are, however I have stepped out.  God is faithful and I look forward to hearing from you in the future.

In the morning we will complete the Crazy Love message talking about the Profile of the Obsessed.  In this talk we will explore how you can become Crazy In Love with God, you may even be considered by your peers to be obsessed.

I can't wait to see all of you in the morning.

Yes I Lied!

Thought that might get your attention.

During my trip to the Master's I spent time with a great friend Dean Herman pastor of 5Pts Fellowship in Easley, SC.  As we traveled the back roads to Augusta, GA we talked church.  In our conversation I told him I wanted to blog more often.  Well as you can see from the blog I have done a poor job of blogging and he sent me a message calling me a liar.   All I can says is I am sorry and will try to do better.

Oh, and by the way Dean isn't so squeaky clean either!  He told me he would invite me to a day of fishing with him.  Have I gotten that invite?  NOOOOOOOOO!  I think he is afraid I will show him up.

Just a finishing thought.  I love Dean because he has been a good friend, he not afraid to encourage and call me out on things.  He has a church that is growing and is larger than Fellowship and he takes the time to listen to me and give me advise.  Thank you 5Pts for sharing Dean with Fellowship Church, we are better because of it!

Easter Sunday

Wow what a day!  It was incredible to see everyone at church.  We had over 500 people come through the doors of Fellowship Church which is a testament to all the faithful who Identified, Invested, and Invited.  Fellowship can only exist if everyone provides an environment to follow Jesus.  I believe, though we are almost five years old as a church, we are only beginning.  Just hold on this ride is going to be exciting.

Easter is always a special time to reflect upon what Jesus did for us by going to the cross for our sins.  As we began our new series Crazy Love and study how God is crazy in love with his creation, let me encourage you to follow along in the book to go more in depth about this crazy love.  Also don't forget about signing up for a Crazy Love small group. 

Thank you so much to all the volunteers who gave of their time, talent, and treasure this past week to provide that environment for people to follow Jesus.. Like I said before Fellowship Church can only exist with people volunteering their efforts to see people meet Jesus.
